The Shuakhevskaya HPP project is the first on the river. In the cascade of hydroelectric power plants is planned for Adzharistskali. The project is being built in Shuakhevi and Khulo municipalities and has an installed capacity of 187 MW (a 178 MW plant in Shuakhevi and a small 9.8 MW plant on the Skhalta River). The project includes two dams with reservoirs and one dam on the Adzharistskali, Skhaltitskali and Chirukhistskali rivers.
